Apart from being a major producer of flat carbon steel, Ispat also produces precision welded tubes which are manufactured by High Frequency Induction Welding Process (commonly known as ERW process). The process entails forming of HR strip/ cold rolled strips/ galvanised strips into tubular or rectangular shape and welding the edges under pressure using induction heating. The mill has a capacity of producing 12000 Tonnes of tube and 44000 tonnes of pipe annually.
